Over a Century of Refractory Material Innovation

Spencer Bros (1903) Brassington Ltd has developed from Spencer Bros (1903) Ltd & prior to that Spencer Bros Partnership, which was established in the year  1903.  In the early 1900’s the Company extracted silica sand from our Overfields Quarry site and sold this to local foundries for use in their furnace lining products.  The Company flourished and decided to increase its product range to include a whole range of its own refractory products including Ganister, Fire Clay, Botting Clay & Rammings.

Global Expansion into Graphite, Carbon and Coke Supply

During the past 30 years Spencer Bros also included Graphite, Carbon, Coke & Silicon Carbide within its product portfolio and these together with our refractory products are sold worldwide for many different varying applications.
